Chapter 1: Return to the Pizzaplex

Chapter Text

Gregory knew he was insane, it wasn’t normal for anyone to do what he was doing. He was in the Mega Pizzaplex, but the reason he thought he was insane was because he had almost died last time he was here to the night guard Vanessa. He had been fighting for his life, and now he was back in the building, despite everything. “You know, I must be actually insane. No one in their right mind would come back after the last time… guess I’m the first.” Gregory thought as he got a map of the pizzaplex and an entry pass. He was glad he brought his hoodie, because for some reason it was freezing in the main lobby. As he walked up the stairs, he was stopped by Mapbot, but the animatronic let him leave when they noticed his map. He walked into the gift shop, and was given a free notebook as the “free prize” of the day, and he thought it was better than the crappy Mr. Hippo magnet from last time, so he didn’t complain. As he began exploring, he sat down to think about what he should do. He looked down towards the floor, and saw a surprisingly unused pen and ten dollars on the ground, and mentally smiled at his luck. He put the money in his pocket and he opened the notebook to the first page. He saw that it was an info page, and he put down his name, birthday, and his favorite things as the page asked, but when it got to his favorite animatronic, he paused, not being able to decide. After a bit of thinking, he wrote “all of them”. He closed his notebook, and began walking around until he saw the door to the utility tunnels. He knew he’d get in trouble if he was caught going in them, and last time he got caught, he almost died, so he steered clear of the door. He continued around, but after a while, he eventually found the upgrade machine for the pass. Thankfully, he had been right behind a group in front of him, and they had dropped a magnet and twelve dollars. He gave them their money back, but they insisted that he keep it before leaving, and he counted that as a score for him, a loss for them. He put the ticket in the machine, and once no one was looking, he put the pass into the machine and placed the magnet on the machine. As it popped out, he got a pass that could let him in the entire pizzaplex for free, which he saw as a double win. “This is surprisingly going great. Now when will the luck disappear?” Gregory thought as he left towards the Daycare, knowing that would be his quickest way to the other attractions. As he continued walking, he noticed an old friend of his, Cassie, was being bullied and it made him angry. He walked over with his Fazerblaster in hand, with a scary look on his face that he had learned from Monty. “Oi! What are you doing near my friend?” Gregory almost shouted, but kept quiet enough so that no one would stare at him. “This doesn't concern you brat! Leave, now.” one of the people demanded, but Gregory just rolled his eyes before glaring at them. “No. Leave Cassie alone now!” Gregory said angrily, but the teenagers just laughed at him, which made him even angrier. “What’s a pipsqueak like you gonna do to us punk?” the second of the teenagers said, waving his demand off with a wave. Gregory, fueled by anger, kicked one of the teens down, causing the other to step back in shock, before stepping forward again to try and attack Gregory. But Cassie had snuck up behind him and pushed him down before Gregory stepped on the boy’s head. “Come on Cass, let’s ditch these losers!” Gregory said, grabbing her hand and leading her towards the Daycare. As they ran off, the two couldn’t help but laugh, and Gregory smiled at his friend. “So Gregory, why did you come back? I thought we agreed after the party we’d never come back…” Cassie asked, and Gregory stopped for a second. “Can you really be talking? It was your idea to never come back, so you can’t be the one to tell me off on coming back when you’ve been doing the same thing.” he said, and Cassie chuckled before scratching the back of her head. “That’s fair I guess. But why did you come back? My dad forced me, but I don’t think you’d have a reason.” she asked and Gregory shrugged as he continued along with his friend close behind. “I… I don’t know really, but who knows anything really? I couldn’t care less about if I came back or not, but I did so…” Gregory said, and Cassie couldn’t help but laugh at his statement. As they were passing along, the two found a deck of cards, a bag with a different character for both of them, Roxy and Monty respectively, and a set of walkie talkies. “Rock, paper, scissors for the cards?” Cassie asked, and Gregory shrugged, before winning, multiple times. “How are you so good!?” Cassie asked, and Gregory shrugged before putting his radio, the cards, his map, the journal, the pen, the magnet, and his money. After Cassie put away her radio, some spare cash, and a journal of her own, they continued walking around. Once they got near the entrance to the daycare, Gregory saw a vending machine and bought some pretzels and a small bottle of water for both him and Cassie, with Cassie using her own money to pay for her food. They put the rations in their bags, and walked into the lobby of the Daycare with a smile on both of their faces.

Chapter 2: The Daycare

Summary:

The Daycare, it's time for Sun and Moon

Chapter Text

Before either Cassie or Gregory could do anything, Cassie’s father came over with the two teenagers from before, and Cassie looked scared. “Cassie, why did you steal and harm these two boys? I thought I raised you better. Maybe Gregory is a terrible influence after all. I want you to apologize to them and return their stuff. Also you're grounded and are going home.” her father said, and Gregory got angry again. “Excuse me!? I’m sorry, but those two are the ones that hurt her, and all I did was defend her. She didn’t lay a finger on them, much less steal from them. If you think someone like Cassie could hurt someone, much less two teenagers that are stronger and bigger than her, then you must be insane.” Gregory almost shouted, but stayed quiet to avoid making a scene. He glared at Cassie’s father in both disgust and anger, but refrained from saying anything else to avoid causing a disturbance and drawing attention to himself. He gave Cassie a look to go down the slide so he could handle it, and she nodded before sliding down, despite her father’s protests. He flipped off Cassie’s dad before sliding down into the Daycare with a grin. When he got down, Cassie was waiting for him, and they hid in the jungle gym. As they were hiding, the lights went out, and Cassie left, for her mother had come to protect her from her father, while he stayed in the Daycare. “Alright, just stay hidden from Moon and you’ll be fine, it’s not like he’ll find you anyways so you're fine.” Gregory thought to himself as he hid behind a generator deep in the jungle gym. He hadn’t eaten in a while, so he was able to fit behind the generator. After a while, Moon crawled near him, and Gregory kept as quiet as possible. “Starlights, is anyone here?” Moon asked, and Gregory was tempted to hug him, but didn’t because he was scared Moon or Sun would find out. Meanwhile, Moon was looking around because he knew someone was there, he just didn’t want to believe that one: a child could fit behind the generator, and two: that his shooting star was back. “I must be mistaken-” Moon was thinking, but then he noticed that at a certain angle, not only did he see Gregory, but the shooting star was indeed behind the generator, and he looked tired and hungry. “God shooting star… who the hell hurt him…” Moon thought, and Sun began talking to him through his head. “Moony whats wrong, you seem upset…” Sun asked, worried about his brother. “Someone hurt our shooting star… and it looks like his parents haven’t fed him in days.” Moon said angrily. Sun, despite being happy that Gregory was back, was upset that someone had been hurting the shooting star. As Sun thought about who could have hurt Gregory, Moon tried to get Gregory’s attention so he could help him. “Shooting star, I know you're here… there’s no need to be scared, I’m here now.” Moon said quietly, not wanting to scare Gregory in case something or someone had scared him into hiding. Gregory stayed quiet and unmoving, though he truly wanted to hug Moon again, he was too scared. “What if he’s mad that I came back?” Gregory thought, close to tears. “Hey Moon, what if… do you think Gregory’s parents did something?” Sun asked, hoping he was wrong and that it was just a coincidence about what he had thought. “What do you mean?” Moon asked him, though he had a feeling Sun was onto something he didn’t want to believe someone could hurt an innocent child like their shooting star. “It’s just that… where was his parents when he got locked in here? Plus, I didn’t want to say it but when Gregory left, I heard a faint scream from outside the pizza plex… and it sounded like it came from Gregory.” Sun told him, but Moon knew he wasn’t finished. “The thing is, not once did Gregory even bring up parents except when Chica asked about them, and even then he only mentioned his dad hesitantly. I’m thinking… what if his dad’s gone and his mother…” Sun said, not wanting to finish the thought. Moon kinda froze, knowing what Sun was thinking, and he wanted to scream and say it wasn’t real. He didn’t want to accept that someone, anyone could hurt a child… but he’d seen it before so many times, and he knew it was true. “Why… why would anyone want to hurt Gregory, he was just a young, innocent, and bright kid… well mostly innocent anyway.” Moon thought to himself, and he held back tears. “Don’t worry shooting star, this time, I’ll make sure you're safe and don’t have to leave. I’ll protect you.” Moon thought, and Sun sighed at his brother’s over protective nature. “Shooting star, please come out. Me and Sun missed you…” Moon told Gregory, and Gregory after a bit of consideration, came out of hiding despite his fears. Moon looked down at Gregory, and just by seeing his face, he knew it was worse than what he and his brother thought. Gregory’s face was covered in bruises, and he had a large cut near his eye that had it touched his eye, he would have gone blind. His arms were hidden under his hoodie, but he knew they were most likely bruised as well. He was skinnier than any person should be, especially a child. He had heavy eyebags, his hair was a mess, and he looked like he hadn’t drank or eaten anything in weeks, and was freezing. “Shooting star, I need you to tell me who did this to you.” Moon said, already going insane. “My… the lady who brought me into this world.” Gregory whispered, and Moon almost snapped. “You're not leaving here ever again. I won’t let that woman harm you again little star.” Moon told him, and Gregory surprisingly felt loved and cared for from that sentence, despite how creepy it sounded. Gregory crawled into Moon’s arms, missing him and his hugs. “Shh~ It’s going to be okay now little one, I promise.” Moon whispered, and Gregory fell asleep in his arms. He noticed that Gregory was wearing a bookbag, and saw that it was open. As he went to close Gregory’s bag, he noticed that a notebook was left open inside, and smiled when he saw that when the book had asked what his favorite animatronic was, he had written everyone. “You’re sweet shooting star, this world doesn’t deserve you.” both Sun and Moon thought. Moon closed Gregory’s bag and began playing music using his music box, but it stopped when the lights turned on. “I swear to god Sun, if you wake up Gregory I will burn all your glitter glue.” Moon threatened, and Sun sighed at his brother’s protectiveness. He brought Gregory out of the playplace, and laid him down in a corner with blankets, pillows, and stuffed animals. As the rest of the children woke up from naptime, Gregory too woke up, having trouble staying asleep, so he went with the other children towards Sun. “Okay children, who’s ready for-” Sun was saying, but was interrupted by the security guard Vanessa who had barged into the Daycare. “Ms, you're not authorized to be in the daycare, please leave.” Sun said, trying not to get violent in front of the children. The security guard ignored his statement and brought out a taser. “Listen you useless pile of scraps, you and that freakish other part of yours is coming with me.” Vanessa said, which angered both the children and Sun, with Moon being half asleep. “You need to leave. You're not allowed to be here, you're scaring the children, and you were banned from the daycare. You are in no position to make orders, much less be here Vanessa. Leave, now.” Sun said, trying to keep his calm. Vanessa turned on the taser for a second, and she locked the door behind her so no one could interfere, knowing no adult could get down the slide. The children-except Gregory who was hiding behind the security desk, waiting to see if he would need to involve Moon-hid in multiple places away from Vanessa in fear of getting hurt, which made Sun more upset from their distress. “Listen lady, I’m giving you one last chance. Leave.” Sun said, barely holding back the urge to attack her or cuss, as children were present. Vanessa rolled her eyes, seeing it as an empty threat, and began walking towards Sun with a fully powered taser, but stopped in her tracks when Gregory turned off the lights, but she assumed it had been someone outside of the Daycare. Moon, who had woken up to watch as Vanessa tried to attack Sun along with scaring the children, was in full authority to attack her, but he hit her in the head to make her immobilized for a few seconds so he could unlock the doors, drag her out of the Daycare, and once she could move again, he tied a cloth around her mouth so the children wouldn’t hear her screams and attacked Vanessa with little mercy. When he walked back in the Daycare, he was swarmed by the children, who had been worried about him, with Gregory not releasing his leg. “Don’t worry little ones, me and Sun are alright, though which one of you turned the lights off? I didn’t see anyone at the security desk.” Moon asked, and Gregory raised one of his hands, though he quickly went back to hugging Moon. He realized that Gregory was the only one who he should have thought of when it came to the culprit, but he knew that sometimes people don’t realize things that they should when they should. “Well, normally you’d be in time out, but sadly the Daycare is being closed early because of the a-I mean jerk that is Officer Vanessa. Your parents are waiting for you all outside.” Moon said, and he tried to keep his eye on Gregory so he could have a word to the shooting star’s parent/s. Gregory knew Moon would try and find his mom, but he didn’t want either him or Sun to learn he was alone so the second he was out of Moon’s sight, he disappeared and went on to find someone else. On his way leaving the Daycare, he saw Vanessa unconscious out of the corner of his eye and he couldn’t help but smirk. “Karma is ruthless ain’t in you jerk.” Gregory said as he went into the Daycare’s gift shop where he bought plushies of both Sun and Moon before leaving the Daycare lobby to continue exploring the pizzaplex.

Chapter Text

As Gregory walked into the party room, which was huge, he was surprised by the amount of people. Sure, the pizzaplex was famous but he didn’t think this many people would be here. He stopped for a moment, but he heard on the intercom an announcement about Roxy’s raceway being back open. “Roxy! I’mma head over there next, since she might be lonely from the Raceway being closed all the time…” Gregory thought as he ran towards the raceway excitedly. Roxy had been like a mother to him, well the closest thing he had felt to one anyway. As he ran towards the raceway, he felt an odd chill and quickly turned his head so he could see behind him without anyone noticing. He saw Vanessa, despite her injuries, was near him, though she hadn’t seen him yet. He hid his face under his hood and hid in the crowd that was thankfully near the raceway, now unable to be seen by the security guard. As he reached the Raceway, he let out a sigh of relief, happy that he was now once again safe from Vanessa. “Alright, now where is-” Gregory asked himself, but was interrupted by a familiar voice. “Rockstar! How's it going bigshot?” Gregory looked up to see Roxanne, who was just as cool as he remembered. “Hey Roxy! I missed you so much!” Gregory said, hugging his friend. Roxy chuckled, as she lifted Gregory onto her shoulder with a smile. “So, does anyone else know you're here, or is it just me?” Roxy asked and Gregory shook his head. “I was just at the Daycare, and Moon beat up Vanessa. I would have gone to you first but I didn’t know if the Raceway was reopened yet.” he said, and Roxy shrugged, before pointing to the go-karts. “Wanna race?” she asked, and Gregory grinned, making his answer obvious. After the staff made sure that everything was safe, they got into their separate go-karts. Everyone gathered around to watch the race, wanting to see who thought they could compete with Roxy, and were surprised when they saw it was a small boy who couldn’t be any older than nine. As they started up the karts, Gregory and her nodded at each other in a sign of respect, as any good friends would do. “Ready. Set. GO!” an employee announced, and Gregory quickly sped ahead of Roxy, though Roxy wasn’t far behind. “Give up kid, I ain’t losing.” Roxy thought, but she knew Gregory wouldn’t go down without a fight unlike most people. Despite having only gone on the track once, Gregory felt like he knew it like the back of his hand, with him somehow making no mistakes and easily staying in the lead despite what he thought would have happened. “I guess I’m just that good, or maybe luck is on my side for once… somethings going to happen, I just know it.” Gregory thought, as he sped along the track, and true to his prediction, the lights dimmed in the Raceway and Vanessa walked in, with multiple scars on her face, glaring at Gregory murderously. Gregory and Roxanne pretended not to notice her, though they gave each other a look that ment “be careful”, and they made sure to follow their own advice. Vanessa jumped onto the track despite the protest of other employees, and Gregory smirked. “Alright, you want to get in the way? Then try to dodge a go-kart.” he whispered, and he aimed the go-kart at Vanessa, though he pretended that he had lost control of the kart. “Lady, get out of the way! The kid’s lost control-” an employee tried to say, but she just glared at him, and ran towards Gregory with a knife and taser in hand. “Get over here brat!” the security guard shouted, and Gregory swerved out of the way, but flipped her off, and continued the race like normal, just with a new obstacle. He and Roxy had reached the final lap, and were neck in neck, with Vanessa in front of them. “Hey Roxy, I bet you five bucks I can drive over her leg and make it look like an accident.” Gregory whispered loud enough so only he and Roxanne could hear, and she nodded, excited to see the lady suffer. Gregory sped along the track, but then acted like he had completely lost control of the cart, and he “accidently” drove over Vanessa’s leg, before actually breaking the steering so he couldn’t get in trouble. Someone came and stopped the kart, with him acting grateful yet worried about Vanessa when in reality felt nothing. Roxy came over to check for any wounds on Gregory, and explained how Vanessa had jumped onto the track and had tried to attack Gregory and her, but had ended up breaking Gregory’s go-kart and getting run over instead to the staff, and neither her, nor Gregory, got in trouble. As Gregory and Roxanne left the track, Roxy handed Gregory his winnings from the bet. “By the way, I totally won the race.” Gregory said, and Roxy began to argue, which just turned into roasting each other without stepping over boundaries. Though, they did stop once they were near other people. Roxy, with all her popularity, was swarmed by fans, and Gregory stood close to her, though he didn’t like how he was crowded by people. “Bye Roxy!” Gregory said, and Roxanne waved goodbye, sighing that she now had to deal with her crazy fans again. He, on his way out, grabbed a Roxy plushie, and left happily, now going to visit Freddy.

Chapter 4: Fazerblast and Freddy

Chapter Text

Once he was out of the raceway, he sighed in relief. “I hate crowds, and people for that matter. Cassie is officially the only exception.” Gregory thought, and he began making his way to Fazerblast excitedly. Freddy was the first animatronic he had met, and he was also like a big brother to him, which he never admitted to anyone. He had been close to Fazerblast when he bumped into someone, that someone being one of the two teenagers from earlier. “Well look what we have here? You're that brat from before. You know, I think it’s time for you to learn not to mess with us.” the teen said, and his comrade nodded before punching Gregory in the face, making Gregory stumble back. Gregory stood up again and made it look like he was about to punch one of them, but then ran past them, and they were too shocked to run after him. “Haha, suckers!” Gregory thought as he got near Fazerblast, he saw that Freddy was outside of it, and he was thankfully alone. Gregory was about to walk up to him, but stopped when he saw a group of five children with two teenagers walk up to him, and he still felt claustrophobic from the crowd at the Raceway so he was a bit hesitant to be in a group again. After a few minutes, the group left and Gregory walked up to Freddy. “H-hey Freddy.” Gregory said, not sure if Freddy would get upset that he was back. “Superstar! Your back!” Freddy said, hugging Gregory tightly, and Gregory couldn’t help but laugh. “I thought you wouldn’t come back… but you did!” Freddy said, and Gregory smiled, though he knew Freddy probably had missed him the most from his tone. “I’m back, don’t worry. Though, this time I’m not leaving.” Gregory said, but he kept the last part to himself. “So how have you been Superstar? I know it’s been a while.” Freddy asked, and Gregory lied saying he was great. Freddy smiled, though he had a feeling something was off about the way Gregory had hesitated. “So Superstar, who have you visited first? I have a feeling you’ve seen Roxy because of the intercom, but I don’t know if anyone else knows your here.” Freddy asked, and Gregory nodded. “I visited Roxy, Sun and Moon, and I haven’t decided if I should see Monty or Chica next. I also saw Vanessa like twice now.” Gregory said, and Freddy got worried when he mentioned the security guard. “Don’t worry, Moon beat her up and when I was racing Roxy I accidentally may or may not have run her left leg over.” Gregory told him, and Freddy rolled his eyes. “Really Superstar? I expected this from Roxy or Monty, but you?” Freddy said, as he shook his head. “In my defense, the go-kart steering broke and she jumped onto the track with a knife, so I was not the one at fault in this case!” Gregory said, but he knew Freddy knew he had purposely hit the security guard, but he felt no remorse for his attempted murderer. “I know I shouldn’t be, but I’m proud of you non the less Superstar.” Freddy said, and Gregory smiled in triumph. “Anyway, as for who you should see next, I’d advise Chica first, Monty hasn’t been in the best mood recently and none of us know why. Chica thinks he misses you and that's why he’s so upset, but no one knows for sure. So just in case, go to Chica.” Freddy advised, and Gregory nodded, though both of them knew he was most likely going to scrap that advice asap. “So, what did I miss?” Gregory asked, and Freddy shrugged. “The only worthwhile thing to mention is that the Pizzaplex needs a new mechanic and Vanessa was on thin ice, but after the Raceway incident you’ve told me about, she is getting fired, so we’re going to need a new security guard as well.” Freddy told him, and Gregory smiled. “Deserved.” they both said at the same time, and then laughed. Gregory was happy until Vanessa, who was being chased by other security guards, came towards him with a knife, and was somehow walking, despite the go-kart running over her leg. “BRAT! GET OVER HERE!” Vanessa yelled, and Freddy immediately grabbed Gregory and moved him into the entrance to Fazerblast. “Go. I’ll handle this and see you once you get out.” Freddy said, and Gregory nodded before running into Fazerblast. He sucked in a breath as he grabbed his borrowed fazerblaster and entered the attraction. Thankfully, he wasn’t the only child there, but he seemed to be one of the last standing ones in the game. “Alright, I’ve done this once, let’s do it again. This time, I get to beat i[ other children and I see a couple teens. This might actually be fun.” Gregory said before he rushed forward, and took out three bots along with a teenager, who he had snuck up on. The teenager, thinking it was a glitch, just left, and he smiled. As he continued along, he captured a flag, took out two more people, and one robot that got too close to him. “This is so easy, I like bullying other children and teenagers… I think I like making people suffer in general.” Gregory thought, and he just mentally shrugged. As he continued along, he was almost shot down by another person, and it was of course, the two teens from before. “I’m gonna enjoy beating you up brat.” the first of the two teenagers said, and Gregory rolled his eyes before shooting at him, but he missed and hit a robot instead. “Haha you mi- '' the teen was bragging but stopped when a robot took out his partner and Gregory shot him. “Haha yourself loser.” Gregory said before stealing their flag and shooting down two other robots. “Let’s go, I’m leaving the pizzaplex.” The second of the teenagers said, and the two left, which Gregory saw as not a prize, but the biggest win after running over Vanessa and getting away with it. “Alright, I think it’s only me, a few robots, and three teenagers. I’m so gonna win.” Gregory thought as he sped across the arena taking out the robots and his openants. “That… was surprisingly easy. I feel like life is trying to make me fall into a false sense of security. I ain’t falling for it.” Gregory said as he went to the winners’ room, and he was given a free fazerblaster after giving back the borrowed one first. “I feel like I can cause chaos with this, and I don’t even have to pay for it… I like the pizzaplex even more now.” Gregory thought as he studied the fazerblaster. He was about to leave, he saw a hidden room broken off, and hidden. He saw a hint of a word that ended in “ny” that he immediately figured was Vanny. But the scary part was that in the small window he had been looking through, he saw two scrapped animatronics that looked like the missing Glamrock Bonnie and a… fox. “Nope, I”m out. Not today, I’m too tired.” Gregory whispered and he got out of there in the calmest way he could. Once he was out of there and back in the main pizzaplex, he immediately wrote down in his notebook the location of the secret room and the broken animatronics. He looked around for Freddy, and saw he was still dealing with Vanessa and once Freddy saw him, waved at him to leave. Gregory nodded before running away to visit Chica.

Chapter 5: Chica's Bakery

Chapter Text

Gregory was really excited to visit Chica, but stopped when he realized he had forgotten to get a plushie of Freddy. “I can’t forget Freddy, that would be so rude. Besides, Freddy is my best friend.” Gregory thought as he stole one from right under the staff’s notice, which was surprisingly easy. Once he had the Freddy plush, he continued along to the kitchen, where he was sure he’d find Chica. It took awhile, and during his trip, he won a t-shirt at a ticket raffle which had all the animatronics on them. “This is cool.” Gregory said, and he went to the bathroom so he could change out his striped shirt for the new one. He thought that the shirt was awesome, because now he could just look in the mirror and see his friends. After he had the shirt on, he continued the journey to the kitchen, which he had remembered how to get to with the help of his map. Once he was near the kitchen, he found his way to Chica’s bakery, where she was giving pizza and cupcakes to kids while avoiding any and all adults. He put his hood up and walked towards her, pretending he was a normal kid (He wasn’t). “Hello little one! Do you want some cake?” Chica asked, and Gregory nodded, but he had a feeling Chica was suspicious. “So kids, who wants to listen to me-” Chica was telling the kids, when a staff member grabbed her wrist. “Oi, I was talking to you!” the man said, and Gregory rushed to pull out his fazerblaster. The man was dragging her away, but he yelled when Gregory, who’s hood had fallen off, shot him directly in the eyes. “Leave Chica alone, freak!” Gregory demanded, and the rest of the children made various noises of agreement. “Ahh! Kid, mind your own goddamn business!” the man yelled, and he threw a chair at Gregory, but he just moved out of the way and tackled him off of Chica before holding him down with his foot. “Are you okay Chica?” Gregory asked, going back to his previous mood, and Chica nodded, though she was glaring at the man who had tried to take her from the children. Chica took Gregory’s hand and led him back towards the other children, who were cheering for Gregory. Gregory watched as the man who had hurt Chica was dragged away, and he couldn’t help but grin. “No one hurts my friends.” Gregory thought as he and the other children listened to Chica playing a song on her guitar. He was really happy that Chica was safe, though he kept the man’s face in mind as he listened to Chica’s music. As he was enjoying Chica’s company, he pulled out his notebook so he could continue looking through the pages. The first couple of pages were to-do lists you can add things to, and after that it was blank pages where he could draw or write in the book. He pulled out his pen and wrote down that he should find a way to the secret room and to figure out anything about the weird animatronic he had seen. “That should be all for now. I think it’s time to visit d- I mean Monty!” Gregory thought, and he said goodbye to Chica. “Bye chickpea! Tell Monty I said hello!” She told him, and he nodded, before leaving her line of sight. After Chica could no longer see him, he snuck into the nearby back room where the man who had hurt Chica was, and grabbed a baseball bat. He snuck towards the man, and once no one was around, he beat the man till he was half dead. “Payback you miserable excuse of a human being.” Gregory whispered before he left, and he hid the bat in a place no one could find it. He left the back room and went into the giftshop where he got a Chica plush, a group of keychains of the different animatronics, and a pack of new pens. “For once, I feel like violence is always the answer. I think I spent too much time with Monty… oh well.” Gregory whispered as he left the gift shop. Gregory put his new items in his bag, and he tied his shoes before walking out of Chica’s area, now planning to head over to Monty.

Chapter 6: The Arcade

Chapter Text

Gregory was walking towards Monty’s golf course, when he along with many others got forced and locked into the arcade, and Gregory began to panic as his claustrophobia started getting too hard to ignore. He ran away from the crowd and hid near the dance floor, where a small, broken, mini musicman came towards him, and he couldn’t help but cry in his panicked state. “I’m scared…” Gregory said, and the mini musicman nudged his head against Gregory to try and comfort him due to the fact he couldn’t talk with his current state. Gregory, who had grown their hair out, removed his hair tie and used it to help support the mini musicman’s broken arm. “It’s not the greatest, but it’s all I can do right now.” Gregory whispered, and he watched as his little friend smiled before crawling away towards the Dj, who he had just noticed was watching him ever since the mini musicman came to him. The Dj came over to him and gave him a pair of headphones, which Gregory quickly realized were canceling out the noise around him. “Thank you.” Gregory whispered, and the Dj nodded before going back to their music booth. The mini musicman came back to Gregory with a proud expression, and Gregory couldn’t help but smile at the small animatronics efforts to make Gregory happy. “Hey, why don’t you come with me so once I have more things to fix you with, I can hopefully patch up your arm and voicebox.” Gregory said, and the small animatronic nodded excitedly before crawling onto Gregory’s shoulder. Gregory smiled again at the animatronics enthusiasm, and was glad he could make the mini musicman happy. He stood up once he knew his new friend wouldn’t fall off his shoulder, and went deeper into the arcade, where the farther he went, the less people were there. “Wow, so many people are at the front fighting with staff to the point of no one being here. Guess I can take off the headphones now.” Gregory thought before he removed the headphones, and it was now quieter than it was moments ago. He and his little buddy found a staff only door, which led them to a mostly empty storage unit. After they looked around for a bit, Gregory’s friend pointed out a box with the words, “prototype plushies” on it. Gregory opened the box, and saw cool yet realistic plushies of the Dj. “Oh, this opportunity is too good to pass up.” Gregory said as he grabbed one of the plushies, put it in his bag, and got out of the small yet messy storage closet. He and his small friend were really happy that they had found a plushy of the Dj, who was really kind and in their opinions deserved a plushy of himself. After Gregory put his noise canceling headphones back on, he went back towards Dj to show him the plushy they had found, and the Dj smiled upon seeing the plushy, which made Gregory and the mini musicman really happy. The spider themed animatronic gave Gregory a sign that meant he could take off the headphones, and Gregory realized it had gotten a lot quieter. “Thanks again Dj.” Gregory told him, and the Dj gave him a thumbs up. “I wonder if Dj could have a voice, what would he sound like? Probably a deep yet caring sounding one, which would help with children that aren’t used to the pizzaplex, and he could also change his voice like how he changes the tone of the music… why do I suddenly feel like a mechanic?” Gregory was thinking, and he couldn’t help but smile. “I mean, I’ve fixed Freddy before, so maybe I could be a mechanic…” Gregory thought again, and he brought out his notebook and made notes on potential changes for not just Dj, but all the animatronics. The mini musicman noticed how Gregory had even made notes of siblings for him, and had given him a name, Melody. The mini musicman, who now went by Melody, began to play his symbols in happiness as he really liked the name Gregory had given him. Both the Dj and Gregory smiled at his happiness, but all three of them stopped when they heard people screaming. The Dj moved Gregory and the mini musicman behind him, and Gregory was trying to calm the mini musicman down despite being terrified himself. He, despite his gut feeling, looked to see what the Dj was so set on protecting them from. He wished he didn’t. In front of Dj was a restrained yet insane Vanessa that was holding a knife that was covered in blood. “Oh Gregory~ Are you having fun yet?” Vanessa sang, and Gregory felt terrified. He put Melody in his bag, and the small animatronic didn’t fight, as he was too terrified to move and felt safer hidden. Gregory, with his bag in hand, carefully ran behind the music stand where the Dj would play his music and he struggled not to cry. “I don’t want to die, I don’t want to die…” Gregory whispered to himself, and he bunched into a ball. He was scared, and was struggling not to cry, but then he heard a crash. He struggled to look over the music stand, so he looked to the side and saw that the Dj had thrown Vanessa across the arcade into the wall, and she wasn’t moving. He knew she was sadly alive, but he felt happy that Dj had not just hit, but thrown the person who kept trying to end his life. “Thanks Dj.” Gregory thought as he ran up and hugged the giant animatronic, who just looked down and smiled at the boy before pointing at the now open doors of the arcade, and as Gregory ran out, he waved goodbye to the Dj.

Chapter 7: D-Monty

Chapter Text

Gregory, after the events in the arcade, was really happy to be in Monty’s golf course. He had gotten a golf club from the front desk, and for his golf ball he chose a black one. He wasn’t great at golf, but he wasn’t horrible. He was better than most people there, so he didn’t feel like he was terrible, but other people were… not the greatest. As he was playing the game however, he saw Monty and true to Freddy’s word, he didn’t look so happy. “Now, do I want to play risk taker…. absolutely.” Gregory thought, and he walked over to Monty. “Hey Monty.” Gregory said, and at first Monty looked annoyed. But once he saw it was Gregory, his entire mood changed. “Hey bud. Welcome back. I heard that you ran over Vanessa with a go-kart. Please say it’s true. She has been so annoying and I just wanted to kill her, but Freddy and the others wouldn’t let me.” Monty said, rolling his eyes, and Gregory laughed. “I did, the best part is I got away with it. Plus, the Dj yeeted her across the arcade and she almost died. She didn’t but… that won’t last for long.” Gregory said, and Monty looked proud. “Good job kiddo, that brat deserved it.” Monty told him, and Gregory realized that Monty hadn’t cursed. “Wow. For once you didn’t curse… Freddy and Sun would be proud. Moon wouldn’t believe you didn’t cuss in every sentence.” Gregory said, and Monty just rolled his eyes at Gregory’s statement. “Yeah, yeah. Laugh it up. Management decided to fix my profanity filter so I can’t cuss anymore.” Monty said begrudgingly, and Gregory couldn’t help but laugh. “Excuse me,” a lady said, getting Gregory and Monty’s attention, “don’t you know only boys can wear blue? Girls can’t wear blue.” Gregory realized that the lady had thought he was a girl, and felt ticked off. “Actually, I’m a guy, so kindly mind your own business.” Gregory told her, clearly annoyed, but the woman just looked annoyed by his statement. “No you're not. Boys have short hair and are strong. You're a girl, you have long hair and are small and skinny.” the lady said, and Gregory felt both mad and upset that she had to point out the fact he was underweight. Monty meanwhile was down right pissed. “Listen lady, he’s a boy. So take your privileged excuse of a life out of my golf course. If you ever say that to anyone again in my golf course, I’ll deal with you personally.” Monty growled, and Gregory smiled at the animatronic. The lady, who looked mad but was too afraid to speak, just huffed and walked away with a frown. “Thanks da-I mean Monty” Gregory thanked Monty, and he hoped Monty hadn’t heard him almost call him dad. Sadly, he did, and he looked a little shocked but mostly happy and proud. “Did you just call me dad?” Monty jokingly asked, and Gregory blushed from embarrassment. “No! I didn’t say anything. I said, “thanks Monty”, not dad!” Gregory tried to deny, and Monty couldn’t help but laugh at Gregory’s face. Monty started laughing, but he stopped when the intercom turned on and announced that it was closing time and everyone had to leave. “Oh… guess this is goodbye…see you tomorrow dad!” Gregory yelled as he ran away, and Monty stopped and smiled. “See you son.”

Chapter 8: The New Nightguard

Chapter Text

Gregory was back in the main lobby when he saw a man announcing that the night guard position was open. He realized he might be able to get the job, so he ran over. “Hey, is the night guard position still open?” Gregory asked the man, getting his attention. “Yes it is, are you interested?” the man asked and Gregory nodded. “Great, we really need one. How about this, think of tonight as your interview. If you can get the job done and the majority of the animatronics vote for you to stay, you keep the job.” the man told him, and Gregory agreed, knowing he’d pass with flying colors. The man told him that what he was wearing was fine for that night, and gave Gregory a list of tasks he had to do that night. He watched as the man left, and knew it was time to surprise everyone. He went to the nearby security room, and saw that all the animatronics were in the arcade. “Perfect, I can surprise them all at once!” Gregory said, and he ran to the elevator excitedly. As the elevator began to rise,he thought about how each of the animatronics would react, and he decided to check on Melody. “Hey Melody, you alright?” Gregory asked, and saw that Melody was asleep, so he reclosed his bag and left them alone. As the elevator dinged, none of the animatronics noticed as they couldn’t see the elevator from their location, but Roxy had heard it and told the others. As they didn’t know who it was, they let Monty and Roxy check it out because they were the strongest. When they saw Gregory, they somehow fainted and Gregory looked down at them in confusion. “Well, that happened I guess.” Gregory thought, and he put them into the nearby charging stations. He walked towards the other animatronics, hoping their reaction would be different… it wasn’t. All the animatronics and even Dj for some strange reason fainted, and he got annoyed. “I can’t bring Dj to a charging station, I have to manually change his battery, great. Just great.” Gregory said, and he dragged all of the animatronics except Dj to a charging station. After he did that, he had to climb onto the Dj’s back and manually take out the batteries and replace them, which took a lot of work. Once he was done though, he sighed in relief, though he was still surprised animatronics could faint, much less lose power by fainting. “I knew they were more advanced than what people thought, but I feel like this is crossing the line.” Gregory thought as he left the arcade because he had to clean the party tables at the main stage. “This is going to be a long night ain’t it?” Gregory asked himself aloud, and the elevator began to move down rather slowly. “This is gonna take forever…” Gregory said, and he decided to practice singing to pass the time. “You are my sunshine, my only sunshine…” Gregory began to sing, and Melody poked his head out of Gregory’s bag to listen, which was unknown to Gregory. “You make me happy, when skies are gray… you’ll never dear, know how much I love you, please don’t take my sunshine away.” Gregory finished, and soon after that, the elevator dinged and the door opened. He walked out of the elevator and stepped into the main party area, which seemed bigger than before. “It’s probably just me, but I’m pretty sure it wasn’t this big.” Gregory thought, and he quickly went to find the cleaning closet that was thankfully nearby. He grabbed the cleaning supplies, and as he walked out of the small closet, the lights went out and he couldn’t help but laugh. “Well, let’s see who finds me first.” Gregory told Melody, and he dropped the cleaning supplies to go hide from the animatronics. He ran to Monty Golf where he could get on the ride, but heard footsteps and hid under a bench that was thankfully nearby. He glanced out to see who it was, and it was Freddy, and Gregory was for once glad that his old protector had terrible night vision. “Look guys, I’m just as excited as you are that Gregory is back and still here, but it’s dangerous and he shouldn’t be here.” Freddy said through an earpiece, and Gregory rolled his eyes. “I’m the nightguard, stupid.” Gregory thought, and he watched as Freddy sighed before walking away, and once Gregory knew it was safe, he ran into Monty Golf with a smirk. He was now more castous, but he wasn’t too worried, as he knew Moon rarely came to the golf course along with Roxanne, so as long as Monty, Moon, and the occasional Roxy appearances stayed to the minimum, he’d be fine. Much to his relief, at first he didn’t see any of the animatronics, but one of the security robots decided that only because he wasn’t in uniform, that it would sound the alarm, getting the attention of every animatronic. “Great. This is gonna have to be quick.” Gregory cursed under his breath as he ran to the ride and jumped in, hiding beneath one of the benches in the nearest hanging seat. “He’s gone! Great, now what?” Monty asked, and both Chica and Freddy shrugged, but Moon saw the ride and realized where Gregory had gone. “He escaped through Monty’s ride, he’s in there.” Moon said, pointed at the escape route Gregory had taken. The group of animatronics made a plan, where Chica and Freddy would be at the entrance of the ride, Moon and Monty would be chasing him through the ride, and Roxy would handle the catwalks as she was the fastest of the group. Moon helped Roxy up to the catwalks, before he and Monty jumped onto the ride, and began to carefully maneuver across the different hanging seats. Little did they know, Gregory had made a backup plan, and was underneath the bench of the last seat, where neither Monty or Moon thought to look. After they were far enough away to not be able to see him, he left his hiding spot and got in position to jump off onto the catwalk if needed. “So, you want to play hide and seek? Sure. Let’s play.”

Chapter 9: Hide and Seek

Chapter Text

Gregory heard Moon and Monty talking and decided to listen in to what they were saying. “Don’t you think it’s weird?” Monty asked Moon, and Moon shrugged, but was intrigued. “What do you mean? Cause I can think of at least twenty things that might trigger that response. So, be more specific.” Moon told him, and Monty knew he was right but was still slightly annoyed. “Don’t you think it’s weird that not only was Gregory alone not just today but last time he was here and the fact that it seems like he’s hiding something from us about his home life.” Monty told Moon, and Gregory mentally cursed when he heard this. “They can’t find out! Shoot, I don’t want to do this but desperate times call for desperate measures!” Gregory whispered and he jumped from the hanging seat to the catwalk, barely making it. Moon and Monty stopped talking as they were worried that he would fall, and once they were sure he was okay, Monty told Roxanne about Gregory’s location. “K, got it! I see him right now, I’ll update you in a bit.” Roxy replied, and both Moon and Monty remet with Freddy and Chica. Meanwhile with Roxy, she was chasing Gregory across the catwalk, and he was surprisingly avoiding her. “Gregory, get back here! Stop running away!” Roxy yelled and without stopping turned his head and smiled. “Oh my god… why is he like this…” Roxy asked herself. “Gregory, get you as-” Monty yelled, but Moon slapped him before he could curse. “Language.” Moon told him sternly, and Monty just rolled his eyes, which Moon slapped him again for. “And don’t sass me gator. I have a wacking stick that I use on grownups, but I am a-okay with hitting you with it.” Moon told him, and Chica chuckled. “You two, please try not to fight.” Freddy told the group, and both Moon and Monty rolled their eyes in tandem. Meanwhile with Roxy and Gregory, Roxanne was close to grabbing Gregory, so he jumped off the catwalk. “Holy- guys!” Roxy yelled, and the rest of the animatronics looked to see Gregory free falling before grabbing onto one of the poles and swung towards the entrance, and grinned. “Catch me if you can!” he said, and ran off, and the animatronics looked shocked, while Moon felt like he’d seen a similar trick to the move Gregory had done. “Wait, Sunny, he did the free falling trick you used to do!” Moon thought, now talking to Sun through telepathy. “I-i saw… also, Gregory is gone.” Sun thought to him, snapping Moon out of his shock. “Guys, he’s gone again.” Moon said aloud, and Chica sighed. “Wait. Why don’t we just spy on him to see what he’s doing here? Chasing him around seems counterproductive.” Chica said, and Monty rolled his eyes, as he had said the exact same thing minutes ago and no one listened. “I- okay now I just feel dumb. Didn’t Monty say the exact same thing earlier? Sorry Mont.” Roxy said, and the rest of the animatronics realized they had been ignoring Monty the entire time. “Now that y'all are paying attention, let me tell you the plan.”

Chapter 10: Watching Gregory

Chapter Text

As the animatronics separated to their designated spots, Moon followed Gregory once he found him, and to say the least, he was surprised that Gregory was… working? “So Melody, how do you think the animatronics will react when they find out I’m technically the night guard? I mean, I’m on like an interview kind of apparently, but I say it still counts so~” Gregory asked the small music man, not noticing that Moon was behind him. The mini musicman shrugged, and he pushed Gregory’s notebook into Gregory’s line of sight. “What? Is something wrong with the notebook?” Gregory asked, looking through it carefully, giving Moon a full view of all the notes Gregory had written about them, and he was shocked. Normally, most mechanics had one or two notes on the animatronics, but they never had any real value to the animatronics. Gregory had pages filled with useful, realistic, and rather detailed notes of things that could be changed about each animatronic and they made sense. “Alright, someone hire him as a mechanic. Forget being a nightguard, this kid should have an engineering degree.” Moon thought to Sun, and his brother agreed. As they continued watching and following Gregory, they watched him do different tasks that the night guard usually did, and he was able to do them despite some of them being rather hard. “I don’t see anything wrong with it, why did you-” Gregory was asking, but he then saw Moon and sprinted away, not knowing how much Moon had seen or heard. Moon sighed, but he knew the others would want to hear that Gregory was the nightguard, hoping someone else would find him. Thankfully for him, Gregory was now in Chica’s area, but sadly for him, Chica wanted to help Gregory hide from the others. Gregory ran into Chica almost immediately, but she was able to stop him before he ran away. “Wait! I want to help you hide from the others. I’m not gonna turn you in, I promise.” Chica told him, and he believed her, seeing as she was the one that was always the most protective, sometimes not letting the others touch him after he was hurt. But what confused him was why out of all times it was now that Chica was against the others. “Why though? Don’t get me wrong I appreciate it, but I thought you would be the one who was most confused on why I’m here.” Gregory said, and Chica shrugged. “I saw you talking to that one dude and I overheard the conversation so I already know why you're here, and don’t feel like telling the others. Mostly because I think it would be funny to watch them run around trying to find you and failing even when you're out in the open. They can be so dumb sometimes.” Chica said, and both she and Gregory laughed at her statement, and Gregory agreed to team up with her without hesitation. He hugged her, and she held him close. They then heard someone coming, and Gregory hid behind the counter to the kitchen, which he somehow fit behind. It ended up being Monty, who looked a bit excited yet worried. “Hey Monty, have you seen Gregory?” Chica asked, and Monty shook his head, slightly sad. “No, but I really want to know why he’s here so if it’s a stupid reason I can slap him.” Monty said, and Gregory chuckled in his head, not wanting to laugh out loud and get caught. Chica on the other hand almost died of laughter which both Gregory and Monty rolled their eyes at. “Have you seen him yet Chica?” Monty asked, and Chica after some hesitation nodded. “I couldn’t grab him though and he ran away.” Chica lied, and Monty knew she was lying but pretended not to notice. “So, did he come see you before closing?” Monty asked, though he already knew the answer. “Yeah, he uh… he saved me from this one creep who tried to bring me somewhere away from the kids… if I remember correctly he shot the dude in the eye with a fazerblaster, which was the funniest and best part of my day. The pizzaplex seems boring without him around, you know?” Chica said, and Gregory smiled from his hiding spot, glad to have beaten the hell out of the man from earlier. “Nice. He got to watch me threaten some karen after she had the nerve to not only misgender him, but point out he’s underweight which, you know, pissed me off to the point that I almost broke her legs for being an unneeded, and unwanted pest.” Monty said, and Chica was mad at the lady, yet glad she wouldn’t have to deal with her as Monty already did. “Anyways, I have to go, bye Monty!” Chica said before running off. Monty sighed at her somehow endless energy, but he leaned against the counter Gregory was hiding under. “Sup kid.” Monty said, and Gregory jumped back in surprise before sighing. “Don’t do that please, you scared the hell out of me.” Gregory said, and Monty chuckled which made Gregory roll his eyes. “So, mind telling me why the hell you're here?” Monty asked, as Gregory got up and brushed dust off of his arm. “Hm? Oh, I’m the new night guard in a way. Well, he said this was like an interview, but I already know I’m getting the job because who in their right mind would sign up.” Gregory said nonchalantly, and Monty looked at him in a bit of shock and excitement. “You're serious?” Monty asked, and Gregory nodded before Monty tackled him. “Hey-” Gregory said, but he stopped, not caring enough to make Monty get off of him. “You're never leaving us again.” Monty said, and Gregory laughed. “Wasn’t planning on it, don’t worry.” Gregory said, and he pushed Monty off of him playfully before standing up. “Anyways, I have to go before one of the others finds me, bye.” Gregory said, and Monty rolled his eyes as Gregory ran away. “Stupid kid, he’s safer with me than by himself… welp, guess I have something to tell the others.” Monty thought, before leaving Chica’s kitchen to tell the others.
