Starting Class: Prophet
Small Backstory: You are a Prophet named, Hexen, whose eyes were gouged out for his' heretical views. Hexen were one of many Prophets in the Land Between to become exiled as a heretic into the frozen lands and he was one of the first to be blessed by the Bloodstar. His only motivation now is punishing those who exiled him and worship the Bloodstar.
*Stats: Mind, Faith and Vigor (Arcane if you feel the need)
* Weapons: Two Staves of the Guilty, two Erdtree Sealing or one erdtree sealing and one finger seal. Any weapon, but these are the recommended ones based on testings. Hand Axe, Longsword/Noble's Slender Sword, Short Spear (Ash of War: Black Flame Tornado), Fists, Claws.
*Armor: Alberich Armor Set (Except leggings, I'm using Astrologer Trousers)
* Talisman: Graven-Mass Talisman, Graven School Talisman, Ancestral Spirit and Assassin's Cerulean Dagger
*Spells: Briars of Punishment, Briars of Sin, Howl of Shabiri, Golden Vow, Flame Cleanse Me, Erdtree Heal and Blessings of the Erdtree.
*Optional spells: *Rotten Breath/Ekzykes's Decay or Scarlet Aeonia, Black Blade, Dragonice. <- Highly Recomended
The Bloodstar Hexen build is about utilising faith based sorcery related to the lore of Bloodstar which includes only two sorceries as of right now: Briars of Punishment and Briars of Sin. These two sorceries costs only 6 fp and 9 fp, but at the cost of needing to use health as a resource as well as fp.
Briars of Punishment is your insane long range sorcery which has high damage per fp with bleed on top of it. It has long windup and forces you to stand still, but that doesn't matter as it can be cast over and over from the other side of the boss room and it has the greatest tracking of all sorceries/incantations i've used. It can literally go around walls if it happens to be following a target that runs behind a wall.
Most of the time bosses will forget you're even there because you are so far away when casting this that the other players or ash will be targeted instantly afterwards.
Briars of Sin is your long windup melee ranged AoE which has excellet poise for a very low fp cost but high health cost compared to Briar of Punishment and can be casted 3 times in a row before it interrupts. So do not use this against players that can one to two shot you, use it against small weaponry. This is more of a PvP spell, but you can use it against bosses such as Astel since it stands still and has a huge body.
Blessing of the erdtree is the one to keep your health in check in boss fights/open world and Erdtree Heal will allow you to have more blue flasks than orange. Optionally you can heal your Ashes or Allies to keep them alive in the open world or boss fight. It's all up to you where you spend that fp.
Howl of Shabiri and Golden Vow do stack. But becareful about Howl of Shabiri as it gives you a defense debuff, taunter and attack buff, if you have hard time dodging a boss or anenemy it might be better to only use golden vow for the added defense and attack. Also Golden Vow lasts longer so use Golden Vow first and then Howl of Shabiri.
Optionally if you have Scarlet Aeonia or Rotten breath use it at start of a boss battle until rots procs and watch the health rot away whilst spamming that sweet impaling blood magic.
If using Rotten breath you can combine it with Black Blade, but that is not as efficient as Scarlet Aeonia in most cases because of the fp consumption. If starting a new character start with a rotten breath and then integrate Scarlet Aeonia into your memory slot.
Handaxe or Spiked Caestus with ocassionally using Short Spear to kill Elden Beast with Black Flame Tornado. Handaxe has great speed, great damage, but it's more of a defensive weapon. Use Spiked Caestus to be more aggressive if you find that to be more of your playstyle.
